Ventricular Conduction Blocks and Arrhythmias in Acute Myocardial Infarction

Abstract
We reviewed the standard electrocardiogram, Holter monitering and medical records of patients with acute myocardial infarction who were admitted to Soonchunhyang university hospital from 1986 to 1988.
The following results were obtained.
1. The ratio of male to female was 2:1. Most patients were in the age group after 6th decade(76.3%). the anterior wall infarction was 48.7%, inferior wall 25.0%
2. Arrhythmias were observed in 67.1% of all cases, and 85.7% of patients who were taken Holter monitering. The common associated arrhythmias were ventricular ectopics, atrial ectopics, sinus bradycardia, atrial fibrillation in the order named.
3. Conduction disturbances were observed in 27.6% of an cases, first degree AV clock, 9.2%, complete right bundle branch block, 7.9%, complete heart bolck, 6.6% in the order named. AV blocks were observed in 31.6% in inferior myocardial infarction and 8.1% in anterior myocardial infarction.
